Privacy policy

This policy explains how City Cloud TV ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit citycloudtv.com. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

What we collect

• Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address, browser type and the pages requested to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
• Messages you send us. If you email or message us, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond.

We do not ask readers to create accounts and we do not run a comments section. At the time of writing, we do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Why we use it

• To deliver, secure and improve the website (legitimate interest).
• To reply to your messages, tips and requests (legitimate interest, or your consent).
• To meet legal obligations.

Cookies and third parties

Sharing buttons on stories are plain links to WhatsApp, Facebook and X. They only share data with those services if you click them, under their own privacy policies. Embedded videos or social posts may set cookies from the provider. If we add analytics or advertising in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We use service providers to run the site, such as our hosting and content platforms. They process data on our behalf and only as needed. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a short period for security. Messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for our records.

Your rights

Under the NDPA you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

To make a request, use our contact page.

Children

This site is a general news service and is not directed at children.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
