The Edo State house of Assembly has impeached the state deputy governor Philip shaibu.

The Impeachment followed the adoptions of the report of the seven man panel constituted to investigate the allegations of misconduct against Philip shaibu

Eighteen our of the nineteen lawmakers present at the plenary voted through head count voted in support of the Impeachment.

Philip shaibu has made history as the first deputy governor to be impeached in the political history of Edo State
