CP lauds Enugu Fire Service, pledges maintenance of beneficial synergy

 

 

The Enugu State Police Commissioner, Mr. Kanayo Uzuegbu, has lauded the Enugu State Fire Service for its active role in ensuring the safety of human lives and property within the state.

 

 

 

“Enugu State Police Command will continue to maintain the mutually beneficial synergy with the State Fire Service,” Uzuegbu assured on Friday while receiving the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) of Enugu State, Engr. Okwudiri Ohaa, in his office in Enugu.

 

 

 

According to him, your (Enugu State Fire Service) core duty of ensuring the safety of human lives and property through firefighting is such that it is very crucial to our policing duties.

 

 

 

“It is, therefore, important to state that we have to always do everything humanly possible to maintain a close and cordial working relationship.

 

 

 

“Hence, I assure you that the existing mutually beneficial synergy between the Police and State Fire Service in Enugu State shall be maintained.

 

 

 

Earlier, Ohaa informed the commissioner that he came to formally familiarize himself with him and commend him for putting in place new strategies that had improved security in the state.

 

 

 

“We are also here to seek the “oiling” of the existing fruitful and cordial working relationship between the State Fire Service and the State Police Command.

 

 

 

“The working relationship between the Service and the Police is such that is immutable, strengthening the relationship is essential for the collective success of the agencies, hence the visit and solicitation,” the chief fire officer noted.

 

 

 

The commissioner was joined by some of his management team members and staff officers of the Command to receive and interact with the chief fire officer and his entourage.
